  1. That picture must be the most ridiculous government propaganda I have ever seen. I don't even understand what they are implying. The characters are looking over what seems like a thriving American town which distorts the meaning of the dialogue. First, the war was not on the home front, so the war was not going to effect the stature of any American towns. Even if it was, why would you want to destroy and rebuild a town that is already thriving as the picture implies? The U.S. would have been much better of using almost any other poster to gain support for the war.

  2. The " After total war can come total living" is a great example of a poster supporting war. I believe the poster was trying to emphasize that you have to experience bitterness bore you can feel happiness. The phrase also magnifies an image of people fighting till they are satisfied.
